Chelsea dealt Wesley Fofana transfer verdict as Todd Boehly prepares another Anthony Gordon bid

Leicester City reject third Chelsea bid

Chelsea have been handed a major blow in their mission to sign Wesley Fofana as Thomas Tuchel looks to compensate for the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen. The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, but this window is due to slam shut at the end of the month.

According to The Telegraph, Leicester City have rejected a third bid from the Blues for the defender. The report states that the west Londoners' offer is thought to be in the region of £70million, including add-ons.

football.london understands that the Frenchman feels as if Leicester are trying to price him out of a move by requesting a world-record fee for his services. It's believed that Fofana has already agreed personal terms over a move to west London, but the Blues have now seen three offers turned down.

Frenkie de Jong to stay at Barcelona

Chelsea have been handed a major blow in their mission to sign Frenkie de Jong this summer. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League as Barcelona look to solve their ongoing financial troubles.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, everything indicates that the Netherlands international will snub interest from the Blues and stay put at the Camp Nou. football.london understand that the west Londoners have liked the idea of signing De Jong for a few years now.

Chelsea were said to face competition from United for the midfielder's signature, with Tuchel once confident of beating Erik ten Hag to a deal. It's said that the Blues have been in talks with De Jong over a potential move to Stamford Bridge as the German looks to bolster his midfielder with more creativity.

Boehly prepares another Gordon bid

Anthony Gordon is seemingly eager to swap Merseyside for west London before the summer transfer window slams shut at the end of the month. According to The Athletic, the 21-year-old has told Everton and Frank Lampard that he wants to join Chelsea, with Champions League qualification a key incentive.

The report adds that the Toffees are aware that the Blues are ready to table a £60million bid - of which £10million is payable via add-ons - for Gordon. It's said that Everton want to keep their talisman, but former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has told Lampard's side to cash in before the ship sails.
