Chelsea vice-captain Conor Gallagher is again training away from the squad as he looks to resolve his future this summer.
Gallagher returned to London this week after spending multiple days in Madrid waiting for his move to Atletico to be finalised as Samu Omordion's proposed switch in the opposite direction collapsed.
It leaves the academy graduate in limbo as the new Premier League season begins, with champions Manchester City visiting Stamford Bridge on Sunday in a game which Gallagher will play no part.
Gallagher is understood to be prepared to wait patiently as Chelsea look for a solution, which could come in the form of Joao Felix returning to the Blues as the England man replaces him in Spain.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: "Conor is back. He is training apart. He is doing some medical tests and some training.
"He won't be involved in the game [against City]. At this moment, he is trying to find a solution with the club."
