Chelsea emerged as 2-0 victors over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in what was a must-win game for the Blues.
A superb strike that nestled into the top corner from Hakim Ziyech as well as a glancing header from Thiago Silva helped Chelsea on their way to victory as Spurs showed a lack of real threat at the other end.
However, a goal from struggling frontman Romelu Lukaku would've put the icing on the cake at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian put in a strong and resolute performance up top, but his form in front of goal has been disappointing of late, and he failed to find the net once again despite trying hard to do so.
The £97.5million man has only scored 5 goals in the league this season and his return to Chelsea has been marred by an interview where he admitted a strong desire to return to former club Inter Milan one day.
Nevertheless, former Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes that he will come good, and if Tuchel can get the best out of him, Chelsea will be all the better for it going into the business end of the season.
Speaking on Sky Sports before the game, Redknapp said: "He’s got to do more.
"I’ve watched a lot of Chelsea lately, him in particular and he looks bang out of confidence. He’s been in the right place at the wrong time. Just not feeling it, that confidence is low.
"But, it’s nothing a goal won’t sort out. When you look at strikers especially, the pressure he put himself with that interview. We thought it might blow over quickly but it’s certainly had an after effect on him."
Chelsea look to be out of the title race as they sit 10 points behind Manchester City who have a game in hand, but they're still in every other competition and there's plenty of opportunity for silverware this campaign.
If Lukaku can get firing, they may be able to add to their trophy cabinet more than once before May.
