Chelsea and Todd Boehly eye shock move for Man United star as Christian Pulisic replacement

Chelsea will plot a sensational move for Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho once they sell wantaway star Christian Pulisic, according to reports. Following a wealth of transfer talks, Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73million, but could now leave the just over a year after he signing for the Red Devils.

The 22-year-old struggled in his first season at Old Trafford, scoring just five goals in 38 appearances in all competitions. Despite making a positive start to this campaign, finding the back of the net in the wins over Liverpool and Leicester earlier this season, Sancho missed United's final five games before the World Cup break.

The 24-year-old looks set to leave west London and while the Blues are eyeing potential moves for Portuguese stars Rafeal Leao and Joao Felix, along with the pre-contractual agreement in place for Christopher Nkunku, they have identified a potential Pulisic replacement.

According to Calciomercatoweb, Chelsea are plotting a move to sign Sancho who can be considered a Pulisic replacement with the report claiming that Todd Boehly will make a move on the former Manchester City academy product once the club offload Pulisic.

Before their respective moves to England, Pulisic and Sancho were team-mates at Dortmund and enjoyed a number of years together at Signal Iduna Park.

Sancho is not the first Man United player that Chelsea have been interested in with Boehly known as a keen admirer of Cristiano Ronaldo. Marcus Rashford has also emerged as a possible acquisition for Chelsea as they look to bolster their attacking options.
