Manchester United are poised to be active in the summer transfer market as Erik ten Hag aims to add reinforcements to his squad.
United ended the Premier League in third place and, in doing so, secured Champions League football for next season. Ten Hag also secured the club's first trophy since 2017 when United won the Carabao Cup, as well as reaching the FA Cup final. United were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City in the latter at Wembley on Sunday.
Focus is now on the 2023/24 campaign and strengthening with a striker top of the list. United have been short in that area after the mid-season departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial's patchy form and injury record.

United have been heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen of Napoli. In Kane's case he has just a year left on his Spurs contract and could depart North London for nothing in 12 months' time.
However, United will not be alone in their chase for two of their big targets this summer. Real Madrid will be on the hint for a new centre forward this summer after it was confirmed that Karim Benzema will depart the Santiago Bernabeu after 14 years in the Spanish capital. He is expected to move to Saudi Arabia.
And it has been rumoured that Carlo Ancelotti has told Real's hierarchy he wants the Spanish side to sign Kane this summer according to the Athletic. Spurs have no wish to sell the England captain but if the striker is depart then a move to a European side rather than a domestic rival would surely be more preferable for the North London club and its chairman Daniel Levy.
Osimhen is another potential option for United this summer, after the striker won the Serie A title with Napoli this season. However, United could also face competition for his signature too.
Chelsea are reported to be interested in Osimhen and football.london reports the Stamford Bridge club are considering a bid which could reach up to £100m. Mauricio Pochettino has been installed as the London club's new manager recently and, with the uncertain futures of Romelu Lukaku and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang at Chelsea, a new striker could be on their shopping list too.
United have made a new striker one of their priorities this summer, but could well face fierce competition for some of their main targets.
