Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their reported pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko.
The Reds have been heavily linked with the signing of the young forward over the past couple of months. It has been reported in certain quarters that a fee in the region of £25million could be enough to prise the striker away from Dortmund in January.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the striker, as interest in his services increases as the New Year approaches. Moukoko’s current deal expires at the end of the season, which has led to intensifying speculation that he could be allowed to leave for a fee in January.

However, the latest report from Fichajes has claimed that a new club has entered the race for Moukoko’s signature. It has been stated that Chelsea have now shown an interest in signing the 17-year-old.
The article states that, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not finding form since his summer move, Chelsea could make a move for Moukoko in the near future. Palmeiras starlet Endrick has also been listed as a potential target.
It’s not just Chelsea who have been listed as potential suitors for Moukoko. It’s also been reported that Liverpool will have to battle with the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona for the signing of the teenager.
