Chef David Chang reveals his 'secret weapon' kitchen essentials – starting at $25, they're perfect for every home cook

Design is only half the battle in creating the perfect kitchen. Functionality is equally important in this pivotal 'heart of the home' space, and the right kitchenware is a huge part of making it work. If you need a little guidance, you're in luck. Chef David Chang has released a new line of cookware with Meyer, which includes everything you need to be a successful home chef.

Chef Chang is best known for his famed restaurant Momofuku, which has retained two Michelin stars since 2009. He is currently the host of the Netflix show Dinner Time Live, which features celebrity guests, including Steven Yeun and Rashida Jones. Basically, he knows his stuff, including how to identify the best non-stick frying pan. That's where his Meyer io Special Edition partnership comes in. The chef took his skills from many years in a commercial kitchen to design the pans he would want to use at home.

The upgraded kitchen items are stunning. From the wok to the non-stick saucier to the frying pan, they're stylish, functional, and easy to use. Chang tells Homes & Gardens exclusively: 'These last few years, I’ve spent more time cooking at home. Cooking for my family and for my kids is just a vastly different experience than at a restaurant. Industrial cookware just doesn’t make sense for a kitchen at home; the everyday chef simply wants products that are both high quality and easy to use.'

He continues, 'I’ve known the folks at Meyer for a long time and was excited to provide my input on a new collection that would meet the varying needs of at-home chefs. They spent two years creating a really solid collection inspired by our collective learnings in the kitchen, and I think it will serve home cooks well.'

In addition to upgrading your cooking, David Chang's Meyer cookware is a great option for leveling up your pan storage. The complete set includes a universal glass lid that works across different pans in the collection. Rather than scrambling through dozens of lids, pots, and pans in your cabinets, this one-size fits all approach simplifies storage. It can also be used on non-Meyer io pans for further simplification.

Cooking Michelin-star-level meals in your own kitchen requires Michelin-star-level tools. Luckily, with Chef David Chang's colalboration with Meyer Cookware, gourmet cuisine has never been closer to home.
