Chef Brooklyn Beckham slammed for cooking 'basic' lasagne with no sauce or seasoning

Brooklyn Beckham has been slammed by some followers after cooking up a "basic lasagne" with "zero finesse" - after telling people he was a "chef".

The aspiring cook, 23, took to Instagram as he uploaded a short video preparing the vegan dish, but it hasn't gone down very well with some followers.

Some commented on the dish's 'lack of seasoning' and others asked what the 'brown stuff' was after he piled the sauce on top of his lasagne.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham filmed himself starting the dinner from scratch, following the process until he sits down to enjoy the vegan meal.

"You should have laid the pasta first at the bottom then the sauce," commented one follower – criticising the wannabe chef's preparation method.

Another blasted: "Very basic and literally zero finesse." While a third wrote: "Seasoning?"

"It's not lasagne. Lasagne has white sauce, proper seasoning, more layers. This is just pasta," a fourth said, replying to the "very basic" comments.

Brooklyn, who once told a famous TikToker that we was a "chef for a living", has also hinted at one day opening up a restaurant of his own.

While some had something negative to say about his lasagne, others also complemented the "delicious looking" dish – praising his "cooking skills".

One besotted follower told Brooklyn: "It is amazing how you are simply following your passion while keeping your day job as well."

Another said: "You should have your own cooking show or a cookbook or both."

Brooklyn previously revealed that his love for cooking sparked during lockdown and that his speciality was bangers and mash.

Detailing his long-term chef plans to Vogue last year, he said: "I would love to have my own restaurant at some point. I am thinking a real British Pub in LA.

"I haven’t found anything that really reminds me of my favourite pubs in London."

"I really fell in love with cooking in quarantine. My favourite dish to cook is bangers and mash. My favourite ingredient is thyme," he added.

Brooklyn, who previously tried his hand at professional photography, also launched an online culinary course called Cookin' With Brooklyn in December 2021.
