Check your EuroMillions tickets: Five winners have until Sunday to claim £1million each

Five lucky Brits have won £1million on the EuroMillions without realising - and only have a few days left to claim.

The prizes were won on last month's EuroMillions European Millionaire Maker draw, which gave £1million to 100 people.

Now the National Lottery says 95 people have claimed their winnings , but five are still outstanding.

But the deadline to notify the National Lottery about a win is February 20. If the person can prove they have a winning ticket, that then gives an extension to either July 19 or 20.

After that point the cash is donated to good causes by the National Lottery.

National Lottery senior winners' advisor Andy Carter said: "It’s important that any player who is not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who thinks they have a genuine claim to one of the prizes notifies us in writing by 5pm on Sunday 20 February, 2022 at the latest.

"We’re really keen to find these players and pay out their huge prizes.

"We’re hoping that these handful of remaining lucky winners will soon come forward so that they can start to enjoy their amazing win.”

The winners are based in Breckland, Doncaster, Dudley, Hinckley and Bosworth and North Tyneside.

There are two further unclaimed £1million prizes from the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw.

These winners are based in Portsmouth and Liverpool, and have until May 11 and March 6 to claim, respectively.

Two National Lottery Set For Life winners also need to step forward and claim their prizes.

Set For Life pays out £10,000 a month for 30 years to the main winner, or for one year to runners-up.

The two outstanding prizes are for runners-up, who stand to lose out on £120,000 each.

Players in Enfield and Northamptonshire won the runner-up prizes in January 2022 and December 2021.

How to claim EuroMillions or National Lottery prizes

All prizes have to be claimed within 180 days of the draw itself.

Players can check their tickets online by clicking here or by downloading the National Lottery app. You can also buy and check your tickets in participating retail stores.

Anyone who has any questions, or believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery's draws within the 180-day deadline, should call 0333 234 5050.

Last week a UK ticket-holder claimed a huge £109.9 million EuroMillions jackpot win .

This is the first EuroMillions jackpot won in the UK this year and the lucky ticket-holder has jumped into tenth place on the National Lottery's Rich List.

The winning main numbers were 03, 25, 38, 43, 49 while the winning Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 07.

A single UK player matched all five EuroMillions numbers as well as the two Lucky Star numbers to scoop the top prize.

Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the mystery ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news.
