Check out these highlights of Broncos rookie pass rusher Jonah Elliss

After selecting Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with their first-round draft pick in April, the Denver Broncos used a third-round pick to select Utah pass rusher Jonah Elliss.

Elliss (6-2, 248 pounds) spoke about his strengths and weaknesses after being picked by the Broncos this spring.

“I feel like my effort is elite when it comes to the game, but I think that is just how I was raised,” Elliss said. “I think I’m a great pass rusher in the back formation as well. Somewhere I need to grow is just protecting the little things, the little techniques and switching that through my run game.”

Check out Elliss’ highlights from his time at Utah below:

Elliss totaled 63 tackles (22 behind the line of scrimmage), 15 sacks, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his final two years (21 games) with the Utes.

Elliss joins an outside linebacker room that already features Baron Browning, Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper. Elliss will need to impress this summer if he wants to be more than just a rotational rusher as a rookie. With Browning and Cooper scheduled to become free agents next year, though, Elliss figures to have an important long-term role in Denver.
