Library of Ruina is launching for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this Spring. However, you don't need to wait that long to learn more about the game. That's because Arc System Works America and Project Moon has released the first ever gameplay footage for the game.
The new gameplay footage is titled as "Visit" and gives players quick look into the opening prologue scene of the game. In addition, it also features that rather highly anticipated Japanese voice-over dialogue. You can watch the video below:
Library of Ruina was already released for the PC. This upcoming console release brings with it a version that's fully voiced by a star-studded Japanese voice cast. This includes Ikumi Hasegaw, who plays as Angela, the head librarian and director of the library. Then there's also Shunsuke Takeuchi, who brings to like the self-proclaimed "washed up" Fixer Roland. The console version also comes with the in-game digital soundtrack and 600 page artbook that's originally found on the PC version.
By the way, Arc System Works America and Project Moon are releasing a new second gameplay video this Friday, February 16. It's titled as "Reception" and shows the unique battle mechanics of the game.
Library of Ruina is the follow-up to Lobotomy Corporation from Project Moon, as it takes place in the same world and setting. Players take on the role of Roland, someone who's willing to do job that needs skills the average person does not have.
After suddenly appearing in the Library, Roland finds himself helping the director Angela in her search for the "One Absolute Book." To get this book, they have to invite Guests to the library, Guests who meet their end during their reception are transformed into Books, guiding them to new Guests, and eventually the One Absolute Book.
Players get to experience engaging gameplay mechanics and setting. These include the dialogue scenes and all that way to the strategic Battle Stage selection process, which then culminates in a thrilling battle where the roll of a dice holds the power to determine their fate.
Library of Ruina is going to be available on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $39.99.
