Cheapest Wetherspoon pint in Bristol revealed in our pub comparison

The Office of National Statistics has revealed that UK inflation has hit a 41-year high of 11.1 per cent. For most people, though, this news only confirms what they and their wallets already knew: everything is getting more expensive, and disposable income is fast disappearing.

While rising food and drink costs are pushing more of us to shop for the best deals from supermarkets, regular pub-goers might consider saving a bit of extra cash by shopping around for the cheapest pint. Considering Wetherspoon pubs derive much of their popularity from their low prices, drinking at one of the chain's nine locations in the Bristol area (excluding the The Jolly Sailor which is currently up for sale) is a pretty safe bet in terms of getting the value from your beverage.

But at Wetherspoons across the city, prices can vary by as much as £1 - so if you want to find the cheapest pint, which locations should you make your destination? Fortunately, you can find out without trekking to every single 'spoons armed with a spreadsheet.

We've used price information provided by JD Wetherspoon on its app to bring you the best prices for some of the chain's most popular draught lager and beer. The priciest pint we found was the Leffe Blonde - which will set you back £4.59 at The Commercial Rooms, V-shed and The Knights Templar.

The same drink, however, costs just £3.85 at The Van Dyck Forum, The Robert Fitz Harding, The Staple Hill Oak and The Kingswood Colliers. That's a tidy saving if you're planning on having more than one round of drinks.

Meanwhile, a pint of Carling at The W. G. Grace, The Berkeley, The Commercial Rooms, V-shed and The Knights Templar is priced at £3.59 but is a pound cheaper at The Robert Fitz Harding. The Commercial Rooms also topped the tables for San Miguel at £4.19 per pint, compared to £3.45 at The Van Dyck Forum, Robert Fitzharding, The Staple Hill Oak, and The Kingswood Colliers.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given its central location, The Commercial Rooms on Corn Street proves to be the priciest on average for draught lager and beer at £3.72. But heading south to the Robert Fitzharding in Bedminster will see you get the best value for money with an average cost of £3.03.

The cheapest pint at every location was the 3.6% ABV Worthington's Cream Flow which costs just £1.89 at The Van Dyck Forum, The Robert Fitzharding, The Staple Hill Oak and The Kingswood Colliers. In general, draught cider prices were more consistent across locations than lager and beer, with Thatchers Gold ranging from £3.15 at The Van Dyck Forum to £2.85 at The Robert Fitzharding.
