We know we shouldn't have one every day, but sometimes nothing hits the spot quite like a proper fry-up.
However, with so many items on one plate, the cost of buying your Full English ingredients can soon add up. While it might be tempting to nip to the nearest store, savings can be made if you shop smartly.
In fact, when comparing different UK supermarkets, a price gap of almost £10 was found between the highest and lowest fry-up shop. This includes eggs, bacon, beans, bread, black pudding, hash browns, ketchup, brown sauce, tinned tomatoes and mushrooms - with enough to serve a family of four.

- Morrisons - £9.66
- Sainsburys - £9.37

Commenting on the findings, CashLady.com ’s Consumer Finance Expert, Paul Wilson, said: “A full English breakfast is a beloved staple in the UK, but buying every item at once can make the tradition incredibly costly. That’s why we wanted to crunch the numbers to find where you can get all of the key ingredients at the cheapest cost, without having to hop around different supermarkets.”
“When you’re trying to save, research and preparation is key. Investigating price comparisons and seeking out bargains before a shopping trip will help you to make more informed buying decisions, and saving money on the most important meal of the day will undoubtedly make it taste even better.”
