Cheapest supermarket Easter egg offers including Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and M&S

Easter is almost here and with it comes the temptation to crack open the chocolate eggs. But thanks to the cost of living crisis, it pays to keep shopping around to find the best bargain.

So we’ve compared some of the best offers for a range of eggs from the top supermarkets, including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Iceland. Many offer their own brand variants, such as M&S’s viral chocolate cockapoo, whilst others have great bundle deals for people buying for the whole family.

Here are some of our top bargain buys for Easter eggs from the big supermarkets. Let us know if you find any hard-to-beat deals.

Asda

Four for £10 on large eggs

There are some all-time fan favourites up for grabs in this Asda deal with Cadbury stars like Creme Egg and Dairy Milk Buttons included alongside Maltesers, Milky Bar, Thorntons and KitKat. On their own, these eggs cost £3 so you’re making a £2 saving when buying four.

To make the decisions stress-free, Asda is offering four different pre-made bundles. Each contains four large Easter eggs, with options for Cadbury-only chocolate, Mars-only chocolate and a mixed selection.

Morrisons

Cheaper giant eggs

If you’re after a chocolate egg to satisfy your own sweet tooth and a bundle deal is maybe pushing it a bit too much, then Morrisons may be for you. Its large eggs, which often come with multiple full-sized accompanying treats.

We particularly have our eye on the Wispa offering, which comes with a milk chocolate egg and a full-sized Wispa and a full-sized Wispa Gold, for just £3.99 instead of a full £5. There’s also a Cadbury Fingers, a KitKat Bunny egg and a Aero Peppermint Egg, the latter of which is perfect for those who prefer mint chocolate as alongside a bag of Aero bubbles, the egg is also peppermint flavour.

Tesco

Eggs for Clubcard holders

Once again, it pays to be loyal with Tesco Clubcard holders benefiting from rather nice savings on their chocolate. Extra large eggs, which would usually cost £12 each, are available for £10. Not a huge saving but in the current climate, as Tesco would put it, every little helps.

Sainsbury’s

Luxury choice

Lovers of luxury chocolate can rejoice as a lot of Sainsbury’s top-quality chocolates have some of the biggest savings. We’re keeping our eyes on the Ferrero Rocher Golden Easter Egg for £10, down from £14.50, and on the Lindt Milk Chocolate Egg with Bunny down to £11 from £15.

Easter egg hunt

Families who truly get into the spirit of the holiday too can look to Sainsbury’s for all of their Easter egg hunt supplies. Chocolates including Lindt bunnies, Tony’s Chocolonely eggs and Kinder eggs are available for parents to hide around the house for a fun egg hunt to keep the kids entertained.

Iceland

Four for £10

Rocking the same deal as Asda, Iceland is offering four eggs, which usually sell for £4 a piece, for £10. There are loads to pick from depending on your store, with our eyes firmly watching the Galaxy and Celebrations options. For those after a slightly larger egg, Iceland is also offering two for £8 on eggs that usually cost £5 each.

M&S

Insta-worthy Easter treats

Over at Marks & Spencer Food, chocolatiers have ditched the traditional egg in favour of something much, much cuter. Walter the sausage dog, Curly the cockapoo pup, Chocosaurus Rex, space eggspolorer, Bunny Cool, Chickita the chicken and a golden carrot are some of the best-looking Easter chocolates we’ve seen in a while.

All M&S’ “eggs” are made from creamy milk chocolate and come in plastic-free packaging. They cost from £6 to £9 and are available in stores and online at Ocado.com.
