Drivers have faced paying more money to fill up their cars due to energy price inflation.
Shop price annual inflation accelerated to 2.7% in April, up from 2.1% on the previous month. Inflation is at its highest since September 2011. The chaos caused by the war in Ukraine has also contributed to rising prices. Shoppers have been warned that rising prices could continue for some time to come.
