The cheapest flat in Glasgow’s Southside is up for auction for only £25,000 with ‘vast potential’ but there is a catch.
The flat is on Newlands Road close to Pollok Country Park in the Cathcart area and has a sizeable bedroom, one bathroom and a nice sized living room with bay windows.
The property has a small bathroom and kitchen but there are charges included with the home including repairs to the structure and outstanding factoring bills against the flat.
The property is valued at £675 per calendar month, flats like this in Glasgow are in high demand.
According to Rightmove, the property would only require a £2,500 deposit which would mean monthly repayments for the flat would only come to £142 a month for a repayment time of 25 years.
On Rightmove, the advertisement read: “The property has vast potential, but will require some upgrading in order to achieve the best rental value. Property is currently tenanted a £675 per calendar month. Once the property has been renovated the property would attract a rental of £750 - £850 per calendar month.
“The property is affected by structural movement and the factors are going to be putting together quotes for the remedial repairs. The property is factored and it is believed that there is an outstanding factors bill against the property.”
The property has the potential of an annual income of £8,340 - £9,000 and can be viewed here
