'Cheapest five-bed in Wallasey' to go under the hammer

A five-bed property on a Wallasey road where house prices are soaring is set to go to auction.

The house on Seaview Road, just minutes from the River Mersey and New Brighton Promenade, spans almost 2,200 sq ft over three storeys.

The property is currently the cheapest five-bedroom home available in Wallasey and the second cheapest on the Wirral overall.

While the space is in need of modernisation, the bones are there; it features massive open plan rooms, interesting fireplaces, huge windows and a generously sized kitchen.

The ground floor opens up with a long hallway leading to two reception rooms which have been knocked through. The front lounge boasts a bay window and leads to a dining area.

To the rear is a huge breakfast room and kitchen featuring a recessed stove.

Three bedrooms are on the first floor along with a family bathroom with a separate shower unit and bath, and two sinks.

The top floor provides a further two bedrooms and ample eaves storage space.

In the listing, WRB Auctions said the house is "full of potential" and "needs just a little TLC to bring it back to life". The auction is set to take place on Thursday, January 26 2023.

The guide price of £164,000 is well below the average for Seaview Road. According to Rightmove, properties on the stretch had an overall average price of £280,000 over the last year.

The figure was a 43% jump on the previous 12 months and 45% higher than the 2018 peak of £192,475.
