Cheapest Europe holidays with £2.50 pints and return flights from £50 this summer

You could be tanning yourself in the mid-afternoon sun with your feet in the sea and a beer that costs just £2.50 in your hand in one of Europe's cheap pint capitals.

The holiday season is almost here, which means many of us are looking forward to visiting new and warm destinations abroad after a long season of rain.

As the price of almost everything continues to shoot up, the good news is that you can still get some sun on the Continent without breaking the bank or going light on holiday excesses.

There are a number of destinations where the average beer costs £2.50, according to new research by investment platform Saxo. They are Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Servia, Czechia, Albania and Turkey.

Anaam Raza, head of marketing at Saxo, said: “At a time when the cost of living crisis is biting hard into people’s disposable incomes and savings, it is more important than ever to find cheaper alternatives to our normal spending habits.

“Saxo’s research shows that you can still travel this summer to beautiful places without having to break the bank.

"It takes into account several factors, including the exchange rates of each country - as looking at the exchange rate before going on holiday can help you make the most of your money as well as budget for your trip.
