Cheapest areas to live in Greater Manchester where house prices are lower than the average

House prices are showing no signs of slowing down across the UK, which makes finding a reasonably priced property somewhat difficult. According to Rightmove, the average house price across Greater Manchester is currently £239,063 which is 17 per cent higher than the peak in 2019.

Despite the cost of homes rising all over the country, luckily there are some parts of the region where houses prices have remained affordable. On the lower end of the Greater Manchester property market, you can often find bargain homes that cost much less than the region's average house price.

It is no surprise that you are least likely to find low-cost homes in Trafford and Stockport, as average house prices in these boroughs range from £306,571 to £356,005. However across the remaining eight boroughs there are plenty of cheap areas to choose from where properties will cost less than £239,000.
