Cheap Ninja air fryer dupes to snap up if you missed Aldi Specialbuy

This weekend, shoppers crashed the Aldi website after scrambling to try and get their hands on the new Ambiano dual air fryer , which rivals Ninja for a fraction of the price. Sunday morning saw the website crash as more than 187,000 people rushed to try and buy the affordable dupe that’s set to save hundreds of pounds on energy bills.

It comes as many Brits are turning to the energy-efficient, low-cost ovens as energy prices continue to skyrocket, with them costing much less money to run than traditional gas and electric ovens.

The Aldi dupe was priced at £89.99 each , and it’s one of the cheapest devices we’ve seen for a dual basket 8l gadget - so it’s no surprise that they sold out in minutes.

Aldi's Dual Basket Air Fryer comes with a touch screen and a 60-minute timer, plus two four-litre cooking baskets so you can cook two things at once. It also features seven pre-set programs, plus functions to reheat, defrost, keep warm and sync.

Compared to the £230 Ninja, it’s a huge saving for a cheaper alternative, but air fryers are currently like gold dust, either out of stock or selling for huge sums.

However, we’ve taken a look at a couple of bargain air fryers which you can still get your hands on if you missed out on the Aldi Specialbuy this weekend.

Daewoo 8L Dual Basket Air Fryer (Very)

Very have currently got this Daewoo 8L Dual Basket Air Fryer reduced from £129 to £94, saving shoppers a whopping £35 on the original price in an early Black Friday sale. It’s one of very few dual basket air fryers we’ve seen for under £100, making it a real steal.

This 8 litre air fryer is ideal for cooking all your favourite foods in a quick and healthy way, with two paired 4-litre cooking drawers that make it perfect for cooking for all the family, and big enough that you can even share cooking time between main and side.

The piece of kitchen equipment includes features for Sync Finish and Dual Cooking, meaning you can match the end time so your food is ready at the same time. The rapid air circulation means you can create thoroughly cooked food with a crispy texture, with little or no oil, too. You can shop the air fryer in the Black Friday sale here.

Both the Aldi and Very air fryers are less than half of the price of the NINJA Foodi Dual Zone, which costs £199 for 7.6-litre capacity. Shoppers have raved about the Ninja device which can make anything from perfectly crispy roast potatoes to delicious snacks like vegetable crisps and dried fruit slices. But at nearly £200, it’s worth keeping an eye on the more affordable options.

At Argos , shoppers can find a Tower T17071 7L Vortx Vizion Air Fryer for £90 . While this one doesn’t offer the dual drawers, it does have a 7-litre capacity and a large viewing window to save time and energy in the kitchen, allowing you to check if dinner's ready without even opening up the drawer.

Built for family cooking, this air fryer features an extra-large cooking basket to serve up more food, with easy-to-use dial controls that can be used to set the 30-minute timer and temperature control from 80-200 degrees.

But if it is the Aldi air fryer you’re desperate for, the retailer has announced it will be restocking the Ninja air fryer dupe in its stores this weekend. Shoppers will need to head to their local Aldi supermarket first thing on Sunday, November 13. It’s also worth noting that some stores allow shoppers to ‘browse’ around an hour before opening, so get in there and add it to your basket ASAP if you want one.

It's not yet known if Aldi will be restocking the air fryers on its website, but we sure hope they do, since it’s been so highly in demand with shoppers looking to cut bills amidst the cost of living crisis.
