Brits yearning for a bit of winter sun now than cold and wet weather has finally arrived can get to Barbados for just £245.
This week Aer Lingus launched a new non-stop Manchester - Barbados service, marking the return of the carrier’s seasonal service to the Caribbean.
The Irish airline launched its inaugural transatlantic service from Manchester to Barbados in October last year, and it now runs three times a week.
Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday the service will fly back and forth between the two airports, with customers able to pick up a one-way ticket from £245 including taxes and charges.
Those looking to escape for some winter sun can take to the beaches of Barbados and experience the famous ‘Final Sunset’ celebrations in Bridgetown, sip on a delicious Barbadian rum cocktail and enjoy the Caribbean’s culture.
Perhaps the biggest draw to Barbados are the amazing beach and pool opportunities it has to offer for most of the year.
The average high temperature there in December is a 23C and the daily low 23C, meaning you're very unlikely to get too chilly when lounging poolside.
On the way there customers are able to enjoy an in-flight meal and free access to an entertainment service featuring films, TV shows and games.
Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus chief customer officer, said: “We’re excited to be restarting flights to the Caribbean again this November direct from Manchester, taking advantage of customer demand for winter sun.
"The service which was introduced just over a year ago has been successful, leading to the route recommencing this November again.
“Customers can enjoy a warm welcome with Aer Lingus as we continue to attract strong demand for our direct transatlantic service from the UK to Barbados, ideal for those keen to soak up some sun this winter and we’re looking forward to welcoming sun-seekers onboard.
“Moving into our second year of operations from Manchester we are very much focused on offering the best value for our UK customers on flights to the Caribbean and US from the North of England, including our services to New York, JFK and Orlando.”

If Barbados is out of your price range or the thought of the airmiles required of putting, then Albanian is an increasingly popular alternative.
Ksamil in the south of the country is being touted by TikTokers and influencers - possibly with the encouragement of the country's government - as the "Maldives of Albania".
The once small village on the Albania Riviera has become a home to a number of hotels which seem to have imitated the style of those in the Maldives.
Countless videos online show tanned holidaymakers swimming through the sparkling water and tanning themselves beneath the blue skies.
One particularly popular spot is the Pema e Thate beach, which has several wooden framed beds that hang over the sea.
