Chat show king Graham Norton is returning to Ireland – to host a new comedy show.
Prime Video has announced it will launch its first ever original Irish series – LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland, which sees Norton at the helm of the new show.
The series will be filmed entirely in Ireland and will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide in 2024.

LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland sees Norton oversee 10 of Ireland’s most sought-after comedy stars, brought together to make each other laugh by using every comedic tool in the box - without cracking a smile themselves.
With the added bonus of some celebrity cameos, their performances will have viewers—but hopefully not their fellow stars—laughing out loud. As the clock counts down and the tension rises, whoever can outlast their competitors will be crowned the first winner of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland.
Graham said: “I'm thrilled to be the host for the first Irish Original, LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland on Prime Video, and to be working on home ground for the first time in many, many years.
“I'm so proud of our comedy culture and it's wonderful to have a platform to showcase Irish talent to a global audience. I can't wait to see what our comedy masterminds do to get the laughter going.”
But viewers will have to wait a while to watch as the six-part Prime Video comedy format will film this spring in Dublin and will launch exclusively on Prime Video worldwide next year.
Dan Grabiner, head of Originals for UK & Northern Europe, Amazon Studios added: “Graham Norton and Last One Laughing is a match made in heaven.
“Ireland is home to world-class comedy and a booming television scene; we can’t wait to celebrate and be part of that with our first Irish Original production.”
LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland is the latest adaptation of the successful Amazon Original series in Japan entitled Documental, created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto and owned by Yoshimoto Kogyo, where Matsumoto lead 10 comedians betting their own money in an anything goes “battle of laughter behind closed doors.”
