Bathed in glorious sunshine, London has never looked more beautiful.
For 13.1 glorious miles, more than 16,000 euphoric runners weaved their way through some of the capital's most iconic landmarks.
It's more than two months since I pounded my way around the Royal Parks Half Marathon in one of the most beautiful routes - taking in four royal parks - I've ever experienced.
But now I'm facing another challenge - fighting the desperate urge to hibernate and quit running entirely. As the UK shivers in a bone-chilling -10C and the snow blankets vast areas of the country, stretching the legs could not be further from the mind.
So here's a list of five of my favourite products that are keeping me on track and helping me shake off the festive blues in the New Year.
1. Theragun Mini
RRP £175
This little fella really packs a punch. Designed by Therabody - global leaders of massage therapy - the compact device is designed to ease aches and pains after long work-outs or short intense bouts of exercise.
Guns like these give "percussive therapy" by delivering short, sharp bursts of energy deep into the body’s muscle tissue. And the innovative Theragun mini is a pocket-size device that is agile enough to be taken anywhere.
There are three speed settings which help you tackle cramps, knots and tensions anywhere. It has an ergonomic grip so it's easy to hold and is remarkably quiet.
It has an incredible battery life of 150 hours and mine came with a really nice protective Theragun mini skin to protect it when you're on the move. And it makes a perfect gift.
2. KYMIRA Infracycle Merino Jumper
RRP £110
Wrapping up warm as the temperatures plummet can be a tricky task - but not with this light-weight base layer.
The merino jumper's infrared kynergy technology claims to "increase blood circulation, pain relief and accelerated recovery" with "increased tissue oxygenation - by up to 20%" and "increased cellular metabolism".
I'm no scientist so all I can tell you is this - it's super comfortable and perfect for long runs in bitter conditions. I picked up a size medium and it has a perfect fit across the shoulders and length. I would highly recommend this - it's a lovely bit of kit.
3. Skinny Food Co Low-Sugar High-Protein Bars
12 x 60g bars (6 flavours available): RRP £24
Finding high-protein snacks which fill a hole without piling on the pounds can be a mammoth problem.
The Skinny Food Co’s High-Protein Low Sugar Snack Bars give more than 12grams of protein with less than 100 calories a bar. I opted for the salted caramel range which is made with a biscuit, chocolate and a layer of caramel. They're really tasty and vegan to boot.
4. Freetrain FlowState Collection
Freetrain Emergence Hydro Windbreaker: RRP £70
Freetrain Flowstate Energy Speed Short: RRP £30
Freetrain V1 Vest: RRP £24.99
The Freetrain range is an inexpensive set of products offering high-quality gear for outdoor running and gym work-outs.
I've never relished the thought of carrying my phone on long runs or work-out but the Freetrain V1 Vest has completely changed my perception. Unlike cumbersome arm pouches, it's easy to forget you're even wearing it.
The vest has room for cash, cards and keys and can be adjusted so it is perfectly comfortable. It's lightweight and durable and because your phone is fixed to your chest, it completely negates any bouncing or uneven weight distribution. If you want to listen to music or need a pouch, this is the best £24.99 you'll ever spend.
I also picked up a pair of the Energy Speed Shorts which are perfectly stretch for gym work-outs. The snug fit made me feel like Jack Grealish - albeit without the immaculately coiffed mane - and come in a great range of colours.
The Hydro Windbreaker is a well-ventilated jacket that keeps you warm and dry during the most fierce of storms. Mine has a detachable hood and a zip pocket which is really handy, as well as breathable vents which stops you from overheating.
The fit is perfect so it doesn't move too much when you're active, while waterproof zips ensure there's no chance you'll be drenched when you finish your run.
5. Nu:tropic Snack Bars
Nu:tropic Snack Bars: 4x Nu:tropic Bars (Taster Pack) £12.99
From the makers of the world-famous Mind Lab Pro supplements, the Nu:tropic snack bars are designed to give nutrients to your brain.
It sounds strange but the idea is that it's a supplement that helps you feel more focused and helps improve memory.
They're extremely tasty and perfect for taking on the go when you're in a rush.
