It all started with a dream for former New England Patriots defensive end Chase Winovich.
No, really.
Before being traded by the team that drafted him to the Cleveland Browns, Winovich had a dream to cut his blonde hair. You know, the same hair he had when Julian Edelman made him dress up and sing like Elsa from the movie “Frozen?”
So Winovich actually went through with the haircut, and he got called into Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s office three days later, according to Cleveland.com writer Mary Kay Cabot. That’s when he learned he was being traded to the Browns. And his response was golden.
He asked Belichick, “You guys didn’t like the haircut?”

If only we could have seen Belichick’s response.
It would have been priceless to get a peek behind the curtain in that situation. Winovich oozes with personality and charisma, which made him an easy player to get behind during his time in New England.
If anything, he proved that no team in the NFL needs a “Hard Knocks” more than the Patriots—at least once before Belichick retires.
