A charming cottage dating back to the early 1700s has gone on the market in a stunning semi-rural area of Merseyside.
The three-bedroom property is on Lunt Road in the village of Lunt in Sefton, which is nestled between Maghull, Thornton and Ince Blundell.
Known as Ivy cottage, the house is thought to date back to 1719. It is a stone's throw from Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve, an idyllic walking route and a perfect spot for bird watchers, as well as being near a local fishing lake.

The house is tucked away behind mature trees and shrubbery with a sweeping gravel driveway. Inside there are plenty of period features, including exposed beams, internal doors and fireplaces in the bedrooms.
Taking centre stage in the large lounge is the wood burner fireplace in a bare brick inglenook surround.
The space has French doors leading to the conservatory, which boasts floor to ceiling windows and provides the perfect spot to overlook the lush gardens.
The kitchen is in need of a little modernisation, but is a generous space with plenty of cabinets.
The three bedrooms and family bathroom are located upstairs on the first floor.
Elsewhere on the vast grounds is an outhouse that could be a perfect studio or home office. There's also a generous lawned area behind a picket fence.
Ivy cottage is on the market for £350,000 with EweMove. Its Zoopla listing said: "Ivy cottage provides a rare opportunity to live within a conservation area and own a piece of local history."
According to data, houses in Lunt had an overall average price of £299,950 over the last year.
