Charlotte gives 'sweet' order to George at Queen's funeral

Princess Charlotte was seen ordering her brother in a "sweet" exchange following the emotional first part of her great-grandmother's funeral.

The seven-year-old was joined by her older brother and heir to the throne, Prince George as they said goodbye to the Queen today. The Royal siblings bid farewell to their beloved great-grandmother as the youngest members of the royal family to follow the Queen’s coffin through Westminster Abbey.

At 12.15pm, following a service full of poignant nods to Her Majesty's life, the procession set off for Wellington Arch, the MEN reports.

The young Royal siblings were seen talking quietly while the Queen’s coffin was paraded outside of Wellington Arch following the service at Westminster Abbey where the late monarch's coffin was gently placed into the state hearse before a sea of colourful military personnel, bands, and some cavalry gathered around.

As they stood waiting for the Queen to be safely moved for her onward journey to Windsor, George and Charlotte were filmed exchanging words and the moment was soon being shared on social media. The clip appears to show Charlotte telling her older sibling: "You need to bow," as he appeared to be listen to his sister intently.

But Royal fans loved seeing the sibling moment. @MrsBear2016 tweeted: "Princess Charlotte is such a boss, I love her 'you need to bow' telling off her older brother, the future King." @Bimbola25 joked: "Charlotte is definitely going to keep George in check..... No question about that...."

@TheWaleses posted: "They're still so young, but from the brief glimpses of the Platinum Jubilee and the Queen's Funeral, it's easy to tell that Charlotte rules the roost and that George and Louis are lucky to have her as their sister. She's such a Catherine's mini-me when it comes to protocol."

Earlier, after taking their seats, the children could be seen studying their order of service at various points. Charlotte could be seen looking around from under the brim of her hat while the mourners sang The Lord’s My Shepherd.

Her brother George was seen singing The Day Thou Gavest, Lord, Is Ended as he stood between his parents. A picture taken during the service showed Kate putting a gentle and protective hand on her son's leg as he was given another glimpse into life as an heir to the throne while also saying a final goodbye to the beloved late monarch.

William was also seen showing some support to his son as they made their way to their seats in Westminster Abbey. As the young prince passed the coffin, his father was seen placing his hand gently on his shoulder. But a tired and emotional George could also be seen wiping his eyes as he looked at the Order of Service while sitting between his mum and dad.

At the end of the service, George followed closely behind his father, while Kate put a guiding hand on the back of her daughter, as the foursome got up from their seats and stood behind the coffin.

Both children looked down at times as they filed slowly out of the abbey. The second and third in line to the throne are also expected to be at the committal service in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, afterwards. The prince and princess’ four-year-old brother, Prince Louis, was not present. He is likely to be considered too young to attend.

It wasn't until afterwards that Charlotte was hit by wave of emotion. And it wasn't just Charlotte as following the service, Meghan Markle was also spotted crying.

The Duchess of Sussex was photographed with tears falling down her face alongside Camilla, Queen Consort, and the Princess of Wales, after accompanying her husband, Prince Harry, to the historic service commemorating the life of his grandmother.
