Charlotte Crosby welcomes baby girl with boyfriend Jake Ankers

Charlotte Crosby has welcomed her first child, her dad Gary has revealed. The former Georgie Shore star gave birth to a healthy baby girl, according to her father, who shared the news on Twitter.

Charlotte, 32, revealed that she was pregnant in April this year, following weeks of speculation from her fans. Charlotte and her boyfriend Jake Ankers started dating last year after she split from her former partner Liam Beaumont in August.

Sharing the exciting news early on Saturday morning, Charlotte's dad Gary wrote: "So, officially a grand father! Little girl, all is well. Excited for the new chapter in our little family".

On her Instagram story on Saturday morning, Charlotte posted a photo of her boyfriend dressed in blue hospital scrubs, and one of herself sat on a bed with two members of hospital staff. Captioning the photo with 'here we go', she also posted a link to her blog with the title 'a little update from mam and dad'.

Just two days before, she posted a photo of the couple's last date night before parenthood. Charlotte wore a bright blue dress with nude high heels as she posed alongside her man.

She wrote: "OUR VERY LAST DATE NIGHT BEFORE PARENTHOOD. Can I have some appreciation for the heels please - 39 weeks and literally still in the heels!"

Paying tribute to her boyfriend, she said: "I love you so much - ready for this next adventure/ chapter with you and our baba! We gunna be the little A team with such an amazing man by our sides."

Revealing her pregnancy earlier this year, Charlotte shared a video on her Instagram, featuring clips of her positive pregnancy test and ultrasound appointments which showed the baby’s heartbeat. She also captured her family’s emotional reactions to being told the happy news, where her father can be seen saying: “I’ve never known her so happy, Jake.”

The reality star captioned the post: “A moment I wasn’t sure would ever be mine Is here, it’s mine (and Jakes) and I couldn’t be happier to be sharing it with you all……I’m having a baby.”

Charlotte suffered a devastating ectopic pregnancy six years ago after she split from Geordie Shore co-star and on-off boyfriend Gary Beadle. The star said she thought she was having a bad period with painful cramps and bleeding, but her doctor told her she could have died if she left it any longer to go to hospital.

Speaking on Geordie Shore: Their Story last year, Charlotte explained: "The gynaecologist said, 'What’s happening to your body now is you’re having an ectopic pregnancy,' where the egg gets trapped in the fallopian tube and actually just starts to grow there until it can’t grow no more.'

"And I was literally on the verge of dying. If I'd left it any longer I just wouldn’t be here. Me fallopian tube had split open and I’d been internally bleeding for the last week, and then I got rushed into surgery.

"And the gynaecologist came in and told us that I had... had my right fallopian tube and ovary taken away. Straight away I just thought, 'F**k I’m not gonna be able to have kids', like, this is awful."

Charlotte won the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 and also fronts her own reality series, titled The Charlotte Show, which first aired in 2018.
