Charlotte Crosby has shared the clever ways she was able to hide her pregnancy from her closest friends.
The Geordie Shore star, 31, announced that she was expecting a baby with boyfriend Jake Ankers this evening by sharing a touching video on Instagram.
She also shared her thoughts on her pregnancy in a YouTube video as she opened up about how she felt ahead of telling her pals about her pregnancy.
Filming the video in a pool in Dubai, she told fans: "It's four days until I tell Holly [Hagan] and Sophie [Kasaei]. I can't tell you how hard it has been keeping this from two people who know us better than anyone - and especially Sophie because I'm with her all the time!
"I don't know how I've done it! There's been a couple of times where she's actually been guessing and she's asked us a couple of times 'You haven't been out in a while, are you pregnant?' and I'm like, 'No, I just haven't fancied it.'
"Sometimes when I'm out with my friends I've had to hold their glass of wine in a Boomerang so that Sophie thinks that I am drinking just to try and throw her off the scent.
"So honestly, when I say I can't wait to tell them, I cannot wait to tell them. It's going to feel like a weight lifted off my shoulders."
Friends and fans flocked to congratulate the star, with Scarlett Moffatt gushing: "Congratulations beautiful."
While TOWIE's Amber Dowding wrote: "Oh I’m so happy for you! Congratulations."
Lateysha Grace commented: "Ohhh my god !!!! Charlotte I’m so f**ing happy for you ! I could cry !!!!"
Another pal wrote: "Ahhhhh. Well here we are my beautiful best friend everything you ever wished for coming true! Years of chats with you about this moment and im sooo happy. You are going to be the best mumma and I can’t wait to be there every step of the way (well except from the actual birth because that’s a step too far) I love you sooooo much and so proud of everything you’ve become! You deserve this! Congratulations to you and Jake."
The happy news comes six years after Charlotte suffered a devastating ectopic pregnancy, which she admitted that she could have died from.
Charlotte suffered through the ectopic pregnancy – which occurs when a fetus begins to develop outside of the womb – after her split from co-star and on-off boyfriend Gary Beadle.
