Charlotte Crosby 'over the moon' with post-baby body progress as 'weight falls off'

Charlotte Crosby has revealed that she is 'over the moon' with her exercise progress just months after giving birth to her daughter.

The new mother, 32, and her partner Jake Ankers welcomed baby Alba Jean into the world on October 15, and took a short step back from social media to spend time with her new family.

But Charlotte has since returned to Instagram, sharing her post-baby body progress - admitting that slowly but surely returning to exercise is allowing her to wake up 'feeling so good'.

Sharing a story with her 8.3 million Instagram followers on Tuesday morning, the former Geordie Shore star posted two photos post-partum - on dated '7 weeks' after and the other '10 weeks' after. Sporting workout gear and with a visibly flatter baby bump in the latter picture, Charlotte wrote: "Woke up this morning feeling so good......

"Today will be exactly 2 weeks of exercising again walking and doing my @blitznburn. After just two weeks of implementing short 10-20 min work outs in each day as well as little family walks. I'm finally seeing some differences.

Charlotte posted a story to her Instagram (Charlotte Crosby (Instagram))

"This is not a before and after pic! Just wanted to show a little bit of progress that I'm over the moon with! I know a lot of people have been dming me about their struggles getting back into exercise after giving birth!

"Honestly wanted to say that by just being consistent with mini workouts each day that I've noticed the weight fall off my bum and legs!"

The Sunderland-born lass then went on to explain her plans over the New Year, adding that she will be having a detox in January.

She added: "I still plan on carrying on with my little routine I've got going on now! And then an even bigger detox in Jan!"

The post comes just a week after Charlotte clapped back at mum-shaming trolls online. While she has been praised by many for her honesty on her pregnancy and postnatal experiences, Charlotte has failed to evade negative critics online.

One person wrote: "She literally had the baby a few weeks ago. She needs to calm down and have a day off."

Charlotte responded by writing: "Listen, I'm not breaking my back exercising. I'm literally doing like 15 to 20 minutes a day and the rest of my activity is running around after this little gorgeous cherub.

"What I will say though is the bits of exercise I am doing is giving me a huge boost, like not just mentally but energy wise like afterwards I feel so great."

She added: "I am struggling. I'm not looking like I used to but I will get back there but not putting any pressure on myself."
