Charlotte Crosby flaunts post-baby body on Instagram six weeks after giving birth and says she's 'proud'

Charlotte Crosby has shared the first images of her body since giving birth to her baby daughter Alba Jean last month.

The former Geordie Shore favourite and her partner Jake Ankers welcomed their baby into the world on October 14, with Charlotte remaining mostly quiet on social media thereafter - spending time making memories with her family.

But last night, the Sunderland-born 32-year-old took to the stories section of her Instagram account - to tell her 8.3million followers that she is 'so proud' of what her body has been through, and that she's 'really excited' to get back to working out.

Taking to social media, Charlotte posted a picture of herself in the mirror, showing off her now flattening stomach. Alongside the selfie, she wrote: "6 weeks post partum.

"Just caught a glance at myself in the mirror while cleaning up and although I'm so proud of what my bodies been through, I'm SOOOOO excited to get back to working out! Next week I have my check up and as soon as I get the thumbs up to exercise it's operation @blitznburn.

"With everything that's happened in the past couple of weeks I'm really excited to feel those endorphins you get after a good workout (taking it very easy of corse). I think it's gunna be such a positive thing for my head atm."

A number of major events have taken place in Charlottes life as of recent. While she became an excited first-time mum in October, she has also received a number of setbacks in other aspects of her personal life.

Earlier this year she revealed that her mother Letitia Crosby was diagnosed with breast cancer after attending a routine mammogram, undergoing surgery and chemotherapy to remove the tumour completely.

On top of this, Charlotte's 'brave strong nana' Jean also passed away earlier this month - sending the celebrity's headspace into turmoil. Announcing her gran's passing, Charlotte wrote on Instagram: "My little nana Jean. Heartbroken doesn’t come close to how I’m feeling. The love of my life and the light of my life.

"From a little girl until now I have adored every inch of you. My brave strong nana. My beautiful nana. You were there when I entered the world and I was there when you took your last breath and left.

"I don’t think my world will ever be the same without you. I named my daughter after you for a reason nana I don’t think you will ever truly know how much I loved and adored you and still do.

"So many memories and this video is just a glimpse into them and it’s where I can constantly watch and relive them, it’s where I can come to see you anytime I want. What I would give for one more day one more hour with you even. I miss you nana I hope to see you again one day because I already yearn to hear you say “hello my darling” when I walk in to see you."
