Charlotte Crosby has clapped back after cruelly having her lips compared to 'tyres' - despite recently having her filler removed after eight years. The former Geordie Shore star fired back at TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson after she made the comments in one of her latest newspaper columns.
In her recent Sun column, Ulrika asked: "What did Charlotte see when she looked in the mirror at her swollen, augmented lips?" The 55-year-old went on: "In another part of La-La Land, Charlotte Crosby of Geordie Shore fame has posted pictures of herself looking battered and bruised after having her lip fillers dissolved."
She harshly continued: "Clearly, the prospect of carrying on walking around as if you have two Michelin tyres attached to your mouth no longer appeals."
But Charlotte, who recently experienced a bittersweet Christmas amid her first with her baby daughter but her first without her beloved Nan, was alerted to the piece and took to her Instagram Story to respond.
Sharing a photo of the piece in the newspaper, the 32-year-old wrote: "I can't believe we still live in a world where women still want to tear other women down and men also for that matter. It's even more bizarre that newspapers still allow it to be printed. The woman who wrote this article has managed to take a swipe at three people in this short piece," she added with a load of clapping emojis.
"I cannot help but feel slightly sorry for people who need to tear others apart in a desperate bid for attention. Or to grab a few more readers," new mum Charlotte then concluded.
Earlier this month, former Celebrity Big Brother winner Charlotte shared a video to her YouTube channel as she filmed herself during a trip to a beautician where she had her lip fillers dissolved in a bid for a more natural look after eight years of filler injections. She explained that her decision to make her lips smaller was down to her late grandmother, who apparently didn't like her plumped lips.
As she showed off the results, she said to the camera: "I'm not disappointed, I'm really not disappointed! I should have waited for the bruising to go down to show you but I don't know how long that's going to take and I feel like I'll ruin it because I've got a photoshoot on Tuesday! A lot of my friends are saying that I look like a different person."
Charlotte became a first-time mum in October when she welcomed a daughter with partner Jake Ankers. Announcing Alba's brith on Instagram, Charlotte wrote: "Alba Jean Ankers 14.10.22. Our hearts are so full my baby girl you have shown us a whole new meaning to life.
"[You're] perfect in absolutely every way! Mammy and Daddy are so so so lucky to call you our little girl you are loved so much more [than] you will ever know." But her daughter's arrival was followed by the tragic passing of her grandmother Jean, who she paid tribute to with her daughter's middle name, just a couple of weeks later.
