Charlotte Crosby breaks 'secret' TV news over BBC show after gender reveal sparks speculation

Charlotte Crosby has announced that she has landed a new TV show with the BBC, after the gender reveal she hosted in Newcastle sparked loads of speculation around the city.

Geordie Shore star Charlotte announced a few months ago that she and boyfriend Jake Ankers were expecting their first child together, having been an item since the end of last year, with her big news captured by cameras as she joined cast members past and present for the MTV show's reunion.

Several Geordie Shore stars, like Sophie Kasaei, Holly Hagan and Ricci Guarnaccio, were also in attendance as Charlotte and Jake, after going great lengths to avoid finding out the sex of their unborn child, finally found out at the gender at a party held at plush rooftop bar Above in Newcastle. Before the moment came when the couple discovered if they're having a boy or a girl, a plane drew a heart in the sky, which attracted plenty of attention from people who were out and about in and around the city centre at the time, with onlookers wondering what was going on.

Pink confetti then filled the air as Charlotte and Jake received the news they're expected a girl and then, a day later, the Sunderland- born TV star had some more news to share with her followers, confirming, after rumours circulated on the venture, that she had indeed secured her own BBC series.

Revealing all on Instagram, the 32-year-old wrote:: "I've been bursting at the seams to tell you all about this! I can't believe LITTLE OLD ME is gunna be on the BBC!

"What a journey we have been on so far in the show lots of ups and downs! This show really gunna be a rollercoaster for both us and viewers and I'm really excited to share an even deeper side of my life with you all."

The BBC series will see Charlotte juggle her work commitments which include running interiors business Naked Lane and clothing brand Pepper Girls Club, with being pregnant. She added: "'I am beyond excited to be bringing my crazy life, my business ventures, much loved family, future hubby and my precious bump to the BBC.."
