Charlotte Crosby announced pregnancy at Geordie Shore reunion in Newcastle as cast's phones 'banned'

Charlotte Crosby shared her big baby news in front of a crowd of Geordie Shore cast members, as the show staged a reunion in Newcastle on Tuesday night, just as her announcement sparked a huge reaction on social media.

Celebrities and fans were quick to pass on their congratulations as Charlotte confirmed she was pregnant in a moving Instagram video, which featured clips of her positive test, her going for her three month scan and the heart-warming moment she told her parents the happy news. While people were rushing to share in her excitement, Charlotte was at a top secret Geordie Shore party in Newcastle, heavily rumoured to be a reunion for past and present stars of the MTV show.

A source told The Sun: "Charlotte got the Geordie gang to a big bash in Newcastle and shared the news. Everyone was over-the-moon for her. All stars past and present, bar Gaz and Vicky, were there and the event was so secret that everyone had their phones confiscated."

The insider added: "The whole thing was filmed for the Geordie Shore reunion."

It's now been 11 years since Geordie Shore made its much talked about debut on TV, with its first episode sparking uproar on Tyneside, while millions of viewers at home were instantly hooked on the antics of Charlotte and fellow originals like Vicky Pattison and Gaz Beadle. Plans for a huge 10th birthday series were ruined by the coronavirus pandemic, but it looks like the wheels are now very much in motion.

A whole host of Geordie Shore stars dropped a serious hint they were heading off to a special event, with not so cryptic posts on social media. Ant Kennedy, Lou Shaw and Marty McKenna were all suited and booted as they took a taxi ride together; James Tindale also looked the part as he also took to Instagram; Chloe Ferry posed up storm in a floor length gown and past cast members Faith Mullen and Chantelle Connelly also gave a clear hint that they were off somewhere as they both headed to get their make up done.

It was Charlotte's former co-star and close friend Sophie Kaseai who confirmed phones were 'banned' at the party as, filming a video from bed the morning after, alongside Charlotte, she said they'd had their phones "taken off," them for filming.
