Charlotte Crosby admits being 'naive' as Geordie Shore fans react to news ex Gaz Beadle didn't congratulate pregnancy

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has caused a stir after admitting her ex and co-star Gaz Beadle didn't congratulate her on her recent pregnancy. Charlotte, 31, announced she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend Jake Ankers in April this year after their whirlwind romance.

The TV personality took to Instagram to share the news with her 8.1 million followers with a sweet video sharing their pregnancy journey, and it is expected that her baby is due very soon. But in a recent podcast with fellow Geordie Shore co-star Sophie Kasaei, Charlotte told her fans how her ex Gaz Beadle, also known as Gary Beadle, didn't congratulate her on her pregnancy.

Charlotte and Gaz, 34, had an explosive on and off relationship during 12 series of the MTV show, with the couple eventually making their relationship official. But the pair officially split in 2016 after Charlotte suffered an ectopic pregnancy where she was forced to undergo surgery to remove her fallopian tube.

As well as Charlotte now being pregnant, Gaz also has two children of his own with his wife Emma Beadle-McVey, who he married in 2021.

In her podcast Charlotte Crosby Always On, the reality TV star revealed: "When he (Gary) announced he was pregnant with Emma, I went straight on Twitter and congratulated him because I thought you know what, let bygones be bygones.

"For me that was really hard at the time as I hadn't long had the ectopic pregnancy and I was dealing with a load of sad things. But where was my congratulations?".

Charlottes friend Sophie responded: "I don't know Charlotte, I really don't know. After everything you went through to think all that time together and one message to say 'look Charlotte, congrats'.

The mum-to-be then added: "I've always said I don't see why we can't be civil. We've been through a lot. I don't see why there can't be no conversation that's why I can't wrap my head around that he didn't congratulate us on my pregnancy."

After sharing the clip Charlotte, who won the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother back in 2013, received some backlash which led her to remove the comments.

She then took to her Instagram story to share the reason why she disabled any reaction.

The post read: "Guys. I've decided to disable the comments on my most recent post. I was probably a little naive to how much of a debate my comment would spark.

"All opinions are totally and utterly welcome, but I did not want to spark any trolling or negative comments. The small part of the chat was just a clip from a larger conversation about all things Geordie Shore reunion.

"Hoping if you listen to the full thing you may get the context a little better."
