Charlotte Church says ‘main job in life is being a mum’ as she unveils comeback plans

Charlotte Church made quite the impression on The Masked Singer - but says her main focus will always be her family.

The Welsh singer, 36, who was unveiled as Mushroom on the ITV show, has three children - Ruby, 14, Dexter, 13 and 18-month-old daughter Frida.

The Voice of an Angel star, who shot to fame aged just 12 with her stunning vocals, has taken a step back from the spotlight since becoming a mum.

However, in news which will excite her fans, Charlotte says she now has plans to make a comeback - but will always put her family first.

She said: “My main job in life is as a mother, so as long as [work] doesn’t take me away from my beautiful babies too much."

Charlotte explained she would 'love it if someone gave her the money to make an amazing album'.

She revealed: 'The album I want to make is going to be traversing many different styles and I need an orchestra, which is expensive. But, to be honest, I’m mellow now. I’ve been doing this since I was 12 so I don’t feel like I’ve got anything to prove," reports OK!

The mum -of-three, who was engaged to rugby player Gavin Henson and is now married to Frida's father Jonathan Powell, runs a non fee-paying school in Wales.

Charlotte is also opening a healing retreat centre in the country, where she'll be one of the practitioners.

When asked about why she agreed to take part in The Masked Singer, the singer said she'd impressed one of the producers while presenting Comic Relief last year.

She explained: "They basically convinced me that it was all about singing. So I thought, “Go on then, let’s go!” And I’ve been venturing out, little bit more nowadays because I’ve got stuff to say."

Charlotte had a lot to say recently on Kate Garraway's Life Stories in which she opened up about the highs and lows of being a child star.

The Crazy Chick singer explained she was really happy with the end result and found the whole experience "cathartic".

The Welsh warbler also has her own reality show in which she documents the renovation of fashion designer Laura Ashley's former country mansion - which the singer has bought.

Charlotte's Dream Build sees the star trying to do-up the house, which she hopes to turn into a holiday retreat, wellness centre and destination wedding venue.
