He made over 100 appearances for his boyhood club between 2011 and 2017, but Charlie Taylor is adamant "it doesn't matter" who goes down as long as his current club Burnley stay up.
Speaking to LancsLive Taylor admitted that he is surrounded by Leeds United fans.
"Everyone around me, all my friends and family, are Leeds fans, it's just how it is. Everybody supports Leeds from that area.
"When I was young I had a season ticket, obviously I played for them and now my main focus and objectives are with Burnley."

Taylor is one of the latest Thorpe Arch graduates to establish themselves as a Premier League player, albeit away from Elland Road.
But his Leeds background has been firmly pushed aside as he focuses on protecting Burnley's status in the top flight.
"Burnley is obviously the club I play for and we want to stay up for myself, my team-mates, the fans, for everybody and I've got full confidence we can do that this season.
"As long as we stay up, it doesn't matter to me who the other three are that go down."
Burnley welcome third-placed Chelsea to Turfmoor this weekend in what will be a tough test for Taylor and his Burnley team-mates. The Clarets are third from bottom having caught up with the teams around them in terms of games played.
They're just two pointed behind Leeds with a game in hand. The sides have already played twice: a 1-1 draw at Turfmoor in August, and 3-1 win for Leeds at home in the first game of 2022. Taylor played 90 minutes in both.
