Leeds United youngster Charlie Cresswell says he's returning north a man after completing his season-long loan spell with Championship side Millwall. The Whites academy graduate enjoyed both the highs and lows of the second tier of English football, but was a mainstay in the Lions' side during their play-off push.
Cresswell and his side were in contention to finish in the Championship play-offs heading into the final day, with a win guaranteeing them a spot in the top-six. Gary Rowett's side had a 3-1 lead over fellow play-off hopefuls Blackburn Rovers, but ended up losing 4-3 which saw Sunderland sneak in on the final day.
The 20-year-old made 28 appearances for Millwall, scoring five times and notching one assist - an impressive return for a centre-half. Cresswell missed the last seven games of the Championship run in, including the chaotic defeat on the final day, having fractured his eye socket against West Brom.

As Cresswell now looks to recover in time to play a part in this summer's European U21s Championship with England, he took time to reflect on his spell with Millwal, posting on Instagram: "What can I say, the journey has been incredible, I couldn’t of wished for a better club to come on loan.
"The staff, the fans and all the players have made my first full season one to remember. I came a 19 year old teenager and going back up north a man.
"Gutted I couldn’t play a part in the run in but that’s football. Thank you to everyone."
