Charli XCX tells fashion brands to send gifts to fire victims

Charli XCX has made a plea to fashion brands

Charli XCX has urged fashion brands to stop sending her gifts and told them to use their products to help victims of the California wildfires instead.

The pop star took to Instagram to admit receiving free items is "very kind and sweet" but she would rather have the items donated to charity drives providing much-needed essentials to people who love everything in the blazes which have ripped through the state since last week.

In her post, the 'Brat' star explained: "As a person in the public eye I am often being sent clothes and other things by brands wanting to gift me something.

"This is very kind and sweet but I want to encourage brands to give to people who really truly need it.

"If any brands are reading this, please donate to those who have been tragically affected by these horrific LA fires."

Charli went on to repost a message from stylist stylist Lana Jay Lackey who has urged clothing brands to make donations to help the wildfire victims.

Lackey wrote: "Attention clothing brands! Please donate unworn clothing for families who lost their homes in LA.

"Mens, womens, childrens and baby items. Tops, jackets, pants, sweatpants, bras, underwear, socks, shoes, sneakers, all inclusive sizing."

The singer added: "'ll be donating things here for families in need - any brands/friends reading this do what you can."

The fires broke out last Tuesday (07.01.25) and at least 24 people have been confirmed dead with thousands more having lost their homes - including celebrities such as Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton and Billy Crystal.
