Charley Webb says 'it keeps hitting me' in emotional message after glowing reunion with former Emmerdale co-star

Charley Webb has told her fans that it 'keeps hitting her' that her days will be freer than usual as her youngest child goes to school. The former Emmerdale star shares three sons - Buster, Bowie and Ace, with her soap star husband Matthew Wolfeden.

And later this year, the youngest Ace, who turns four in July, will be reaching a big milestone. Taking to Instagram on Thursday evening (June 15), Charley shared a sweet snap of her little boy who appeared to be snuggled up alongside her in bed with a teddy resting on his chest.

"It keeps hitting me that my littlest friend is starting school so soon," the actress, who is famed for having played Debbie Dingle in ITV's Emmerdale, typed alongside the image.

"All of me is SO excited for him but so much of me is sad that he'll be on his own litter journey without me," Charley added alongside a crying emoji. She then set up a poll as she asked: "Anyone else feel this?" with the options: "It's hard," or "feel fine".

Charley's late-night thoughts about her son's next big step comes after she was seen enjoying a reunion with one of her former co-stars. The 35-yea-rold was glowing as she posed for a selfie in the gorgeous sunshine with Roxy Shahidi, who plays Leyla Cavanagh in Emmerdale.

"I completely forgot we planned this ages ago but it's been perfect," Charley typed alongside the picture of the pair on her Instagram Story as she tagged her pal and Laceby Manor, the luxurious spa complex where the pair appeared to have been spending time together.

Meanwhile, Charley recently took the brave decision to appear on TV and speak about her mum's dementia diagnosis after recently sharing the news. The mum-of-three spoke about her mum Helen's deteriorating health on This Morning with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary after going public eight years after her mum's diagnosis.

"There was no support, no help, it was shocking actually, and for me and my siblings it has been eight years of hell," she heartbreakingly shared. "She’s now gone into a home and it was the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make." Charley also revealed that her mother was hugely involved in her career and she noticed that over time her memory was becoming worse.

The star explained: "I got into working so young. Mum took over things like that and my sister’s make-up academy, and she was just forgetting things. She forgot something huge for me financially, and I thought ‘this is quite serious’ then she was confused about something with her house, and I thought ‘this doesn’t make sense.’ And people were like ‘you’re just being dramatic’ because I can be dramatic but I just knew."

She went on: "I was pregnant with my middle one Bowie. That was traumatic, trying to get the diagnosis is actually a long process. It’s difficult, it’s hard, it was stressful. She had a big personality, she was much wilder than me. She would stay up until 4am in the morning with my friends, so seeing that decline was awful."

Charley also said her mum's appearance had dramatically changed due to her early-onset dementia - which is when a person experiences symptoms before the age of 65. "My mum is so fit and healthy. Very glamorous, hair was always perfect, make-up perfect. You lose them right before your eyes," she emotionally said on the programme.
