Charley Webb's age surprises fans as she reunites with former Emmerdale co-stars for unique birthday celebration

Charley Webb has surprised fans with her age as she gave a glimpse into her unique birthday celebrations. The former Emmerdale actress was joined by some of her former co-stars as she celebrated her special day on Sunday (February 26).

Taking to Instagram, Charley, who is known for playing Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, shared 'this is 35' as she enjoyed a sleepover with some of her girl friends which also included sound bath meditation. The former soap star shared an image of herself with her party of pals which appeared to be taken on a polaroid-style camera.

Charley was all smiles for the camera as she positioned herself next to Zoe Henry, who plays Emmerdale vet Rhona Goskirk, while Layla Canagah and Chas Dingle actresses Roxy Shahidi and Lucy Pargeter sat behind. They were also joined by Charley's on-screen mum Emma Atkinson, aka Charity Dingle, and Kate Oates who was previously a producer at Emmerdale.

As they smiled alongside a few more of Charley's friends, the group appeared chilled as they donned pyjamas and loungewear for their relaxing evening while a Buddah head was also spotted atop a glass table.

"This is 35," Charley captioned the start of her post. "A room with most of my favourite people in our pyjamas. We had a sleepover with a Sound Bath Meditation and I couldn’t be happier. Happy thirty five years to me."

One of Charley's partygoers, Liz, was among the first to respond, writing: "The best time celebrating 35 years of you!" While a second, Chloe, added: "Happy Birthday dreamy lady! Thanks again for last night! Namaste. LOVE."

And some more of Charley's former Emmerdale pals also got involved in the comments. Hayley Tammadon wrote: "Happy birthday Charley." Eden Taylor-Draper commented: "Bday queen. Furious I missed." Laura Norton added: "What a bunch," alongside a red heart.

Meanwhile, as fans also shared their birthday wishes for Charley, others were stunned by her age thanks to her youthful appearance. @traa_dy_looar said: "As you get older you realise you don’t need 100s of friends. Just those that are always there for you. Happy 35th you still look 25 btw."

@zainab.786.ul commented: "Happy birthday Charley u really don’t look 35 u look so much younger." @liamobrien1980 posted: "How are you 35? I mean I’m only 36…" @aimee1xo added: "You look about 27, happy bday."

Earlier this month, Charley, from Bury, made her return to the small screen for the first time since leaving Emmerdale. She was last seen in the Dales at the beginning of 2021 after her character was involved in an affair with Al Chapman while he was engaged to Priya Sharma.

But she is back in BBC One's new thriller, Better and taking to Instagram just as the first episode was about to air, Charley shared her honest reaction to seeing herself on TV. Posting a selfie of herself to her Stories as she lay in bed with a cup of tea, she penned: "Will be watching myself with my eyes closed. Better BBC One @ 9."
