Charley Webb makes fans 'sad' as she reunites with ITV Emmerdale co-stars

Charley Webb was told she left fans feeling 'sad' as she enjoyed a reunion with some of her Emmerdale co-stars.

The actress is best known for playing Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap but hasn't been seen on-screen since January last year after making a brief return to her Dales role.

At the end of last year, there were reports that Charley had quit the soap after 19 years of playing Debbie and at the start of this year, Charley addressed whether she'd officially waved goodbye to her fiesty character.

The 34-year-old explained that she actually left Emmerdale to have her son Ace, now two-and-a-half, and only returned for 10 weeks to complete a storyline with no plans to stay beyond that, meaning she officially left the soap more than a year ago.

But despite not being on set anymore, it's clear Charley has made friends for life and spent her weekend catching up with some of her former co-stars.

The mum-of-three took to Instagram to share some snaps from what she called a 'mum and dad' night out with hubby Matthew Wolfenden, who plays Emmerdale's David Metcalfe.

The pair, who have been married for four years and together for 15, spent the evening with Emma Atkins and Eden Taylor-Draper, who play Charity and Belle in the soap.

One of the pictures showed Charley adding a red beanie hat to her smart black outfit, which featured leopard print tights, as she danced around with Emma, who plays her on-screen mum, who was rocking her hair in space buns.

She also posed for snaps alongside her on-screen dad Jeff Hordley, aka Cain Dingle, and his wife and their Emmerdale co-star Zoë Henry, best known for playing Rhona Goskirk in the soap.

Sharing the string of images with her thousands of followers, Charley commented: "I will forever love my old work family. My heart feels so full and grateful they came into my life all those years ago. They will last a lifetime."

But the mention of them being her 'old' work family disappointed Emmerdale fans.

"Old work’ that makes me sad ! Emmerdale needs a bit of sass back it’s gone so pants," @jacksonker said.

@kryssie15 commented: "So sad to see you leave as Debbie Dingle. She's one of my favourite characters. But love you Charley, and can't wait to see what your next ventures. All the best for the future."

"Will miss Debbie soooo much.... please come back we neeeeeeed you girl," @chellelabelles shared.

@parrswoodmichael69 suggested: "You can fix that though! Come back to the village!"

"I really hope Debbie makes a return to Emmerdale one day. Great pics. You all look fantastic," elliesmumma added among more calls for Charley to return to Emmerdale.
