The Chargers’ social media team found itself facing a difficult task on Thursday night after Los Angeles entered halftime trailing 42–0 against the Raiders.
Las Vegas tacked on another touchdown early into the third quarter, with wide receiver Jakobi Meyers throwing a pass to Davante Adams in the end zone.
There’s not much optimism to be had when trailing by 49 to a division rival, but, fortunately, it was the Chargers who provided the game’s next touchdown.
Easton Stick connected with Josh Palmer for a big touchdown to get the team on the scoreboard, and the social media team was ready and waiting on X.
Still very aware of the 42-point deficit the team was facing, the Chargers’ X account comically posted a video of the play, along with a brief caption that read, “we scored.”

NFL fans on X appreciated the team trying to make the best of a terribly disappointing situation.
