It feels almost inevitable that Raheem Morris will get another head coaching opportunity at some point, potentially as soon as this year. He’s been a top candidate for the last two years and has already earned three interviews with teams searching for a new head coach.
After getting a request from the Commanders, Morris is also drawing interest from the Chargers and Panthers. They both requested permission to interview Morris for their head coaching jobs.
Morris is preparing for the Rams’ playoff run, beginning with a game against the Lions this Sunday night, so he won’t be able to interview for those roles just yet. Teams are only permitted to begin virtual interviews three days after the wild-card round, and in-person interviews after the divisional round.
The #Chargers requested an interview with #Rams DC Raheem Morris for their head coaching job, per source. That’s three for Morris, who also has requests from Washington and Carolina.

Morris has been the Rams’ defensive coordinator since 2021 after previously working on the Falcons’ staff, including a stint as their interim head coach in 2020.
He drew head coaching interest last year, as well, and was a finalist for the Colts job before they hired Shane Steichen.
