Chargers star defensive end Joey Bosa was carted into the locker room Sunday after suffering a right foot injury against the Packers. Someone appeared to step on Bosa’s foot during the first quarter and he immediately hopped to the sideline in significant pain. Later, Fox cameras caught Bosa in tears as he attempted to cover his face with a towel while being carted away.
It’s unclear what the exact nature of his injury is at this time, but Los Angeles eventually ruled him out. Bosa, 28, is a four-time Pro Bowler and is second on the team in sacks (6.5). He has also tallied 24 tackles and forced three fumbles in his eight games played before this weekend.

The Chargers have started the year a disappointing 4–5 and losing Bosa would be a blow that the defense can’t afford if it wants to make a playoff push. Unfortunately, after his emotional response to the injury, it looks like Bosa will miss some time.
