LOS ANGELES — The Chargers agreed to a deal Thursday to acquire outside linebacker Khalil Mack in a trade with the Chicago Bears, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
The deal is pending Mack passing a physical and cannot be finalized until the start of the new league year on Wednesday.
The Chargers are expected to send a 2022 second-round draft pick and a 2023 sixth-round pick to Chicago in exchange for acquiring Mack and the three years remaining on his deal, according to multiple reports.
The Chargers’ Twitter account, always at the ready to celebrate good news, seemed pumped about the reports surrounding Mack’s pending arrival to Los Angeles.
