MIAMI — Lara Trump is in some hot water over a social media post about ... warm water.
The Fox News contributor shared a video of her 5-year-old son taking a toy car out in Hurricane Ian on Wednesday morning in South Florida — and the Internet was not here for it.
Trump, who owns a home in Jupiter, Florida, with her husband, Eric Trump, showed her 1.6 million followers her little boy looking drenched and rubbing his eyes amid a downpour, crying.
The family of four spent $3.2 million on a five-bedroom, seven-bathroom house at the Trump National Golf Club gated community last year.
“Oh my God, Luke!” mom laughs off camera of the child, calling him by his middle name (birth name: Eric Jr.).
Luke Trump protested being outside at one point during the video, to which his mother replied, “You can do it! Let’s go!”
“Thought we had a clear window, turns out we did some character building instead????” said her caption. “Stay safe, everyone!”
Comments were mixed. There were plenty of laughing emojis along with supporters saying the North Carolina native did the right thing.
“Awesome! These are things we did on purpose as kids,” wrote one. “Fifty years later it still looks like a blast ... stay safe over there.”
“Character building. I love it! That is the attitude of a winner as you are obviously one.”
“Now he doesn’t need to take a bath.”
Yet others were perturbed that the boy appeared not into the outdoor experience, and knocked Trump for not checking the weather forecast.
“Make your kid miserable, film it … and share on social media all during a hurricane, tasteless at best,” complained one.
And former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski reshared the post about the “exercise.” His tweet received more than 10,000 likes and many commenters called the stormy bike ride “child abuse.”
Trump paid no mind, later posting a picture of her daughter smiling broadly in a tank top.
“And here’s my daughter, having the time of her life in the rain,” said the caption of Carolina, 3. “Cue the crazies.”
