Channel 5 Eggheads icon Judith Keppel announced she is retiring from the quiz show after 19 years.
The show, which returns to our screens on Monday, won't see show favourite Judith return as she thought 'it was time to go'.
Judith joined the show in 2003 after becoming the first UK winner of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2000.
Discussing her choice to retire, the 80-year-old explained: "I have done it for 19 years and my memory is definitely not what it was.
"I have noticed that I can’t learn as well as I did. So I just thought it was time to go."
The star added participating on the show had been 'great fun' for her.
Judith added she will miss 'having to concentrate'.
The star used to be a garden designer before going on to win the £1 million on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
The £1million question saw her correctly guess Henry II was the husband of Eleanor of Aquitane - and the win couldn't have come sooner given Judith's money woes.
Judith, who was 58 at the time, was a newly-qualified garden designer trying to find work and was in desperate need of cash so concocted a plan to spend £100 calling the quiz show more than 50 times in the hope of securing a place.
As soon as she won, the teetotal mother-of-three - who attended Alcoholics Anonymous after her 1980 divorce from first husband, art dealer Desmond Corcoran - celebrated with a cola and enrolled on a four-day money management course.

“I’ve always thought I wouldn’t have done Millionaire if I’d been married,” she once told the Telegraph.
“I just feel my husband would have said something like, 'Don’t be so silly’, and then I wouldn’t have done it. And I think there are a lot of women out there in similar situations who maybe don’t have the confidence to go on TV. It’s a real shame.”
When she secured the prize in 2000, it was only a year after John Carpenter became the first contestant in the US version to win the prize money.
In September 2003, Judith and David Seaman returned to the show for the fifth birthday special and won £32,000.
Eggheads airs on Channel 5 on October 10 at 6.30pm.
