Channel 4's Hunted looking for new contestants

Have you ever thought that running across the UK away from the authorities looks like fun?

Well, popular Channel 4 show Hunted is now on the lookout for new contestants, who will get the chance to do just that.

The programme, which is currently running its celebrity version in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, is casting its seventh series, reports LancsLive.

For those not in the know, Hunted follows volunteer 'fugitives' as they try to evade being captured by a team made up of some of skilled intelligence agencies.

Anyone over 18 can apply and you could be going it alone or with friends, family or colleagues.

As long you think you can take on The Hunters, the creators want to hear from you.

Anyone who successfully stays off the radar and evades capture could win a prize of £100,000.

On its website, Channel 4 said: "We are looking for aspiring 'fugitives' of all ages to take part and do whatever it takes to disappear in 21st century Britain.

"We're looking for ordinary people to go on the run and try to disappear in one of the most watched nations on Earth.

"If you had to disappear tomorrow - with some of the world's best investigators looking for you, and some of the most cutting-edge technology tracking you, could you just vanish?"

For anyone interested in applying, they can do so here.

The closing date for applications is February 28 and filming will take place in June 2022.

Hunted is produced by Shine TV, the makers of The Island and MasterChef.

You must be 18+ in order to apply to take part in the series. For more information on how Shine processes your data, please click here.

The creators of the show remind anyone wishing to apply that 'all filming will adhere to strict Covid safety protocols'.
