Channel 4's Great British Bake Off's 'nightmare fuel' episode that ended in tears

Great British Bake Off scared its viewers during tonight's episode.

The Channel 4 bakers took to the infamous tent to face another week of challenges. They had to really put their skills to the test with illusion macarons followed by a fruity favourite challenge.

Their final, and most demanding, task was to create a dramatic 3D mask. The creepy challenge had fans horrified as they branded the episode "nightmare fuel".

Taking to Twitter, Andy said: "That is nightmare fuel." Another user, Agnes, said: "I worry that this mask showstopper challenger might give me nightmares because so many of them are clearly haunted #gbbo."

Tracey said: "The pre baked masks are going to give me nightmares tonight #gbbo." Chris said: "I never had #GBBO down as a programme to induce nightmares but those biscuit faces are a new level of terror."

Helen said: "A mask made out of biscuits. Stuff of nightmares, that." Meanwhile, Simon said: "I'm going to be having nightmares about most of these masks tonight #GBBO."

Unfortunately for Carole her mask took on an even more unexpected turn as it began to fall apart before she could put it on display for the judges. She held back tears as she tried her best to fix it.

But it was too late as the baker's mask completely collapsed. Her competitors rushed to comfort her as she tried her best to put on a brave face.
