Relieved Gogglebox fans and stars have sent plenty of love to Jenny Newby as the much-loved armchair critic has now been discharged from hospital. 65-year-old Jenny, who is a firm favourite on the show, appears from her best friend Lee Riley's caravan most Friday nights, but that has changed recently.
The star recently underwent an operation in hospital, which has taken her out of action as she recovers. Although Jenny has not revealed the details of her operation, Lee confirmed that she was in hospital earlier this month, whilst on the red carpet of the BAFTA TV Awards.
And now, after a few weeks of quiet, the iconic duo have been reunited, and shared a quick update to Instagram earlier this week to let fans know when they will be back on our screens. Speaking to fans, 52-year-old Lee said: "Hi everybody, you'll never guess who I just bumped into! She's out of hospital."

Panning the camera round to Jenny, the much-missed star waved and said: "Hi, it's me. I just want to thank you all for your kind 'get well' wishes.
"They've really cheered me up. Thank you very much, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all in series twenty."
Lee confirmed: "September! Guys, we'll be back in September. See you all later - have a lovely summer everybody."
"Hope you get tanned. Bye, my loves!" Jenny added.
Taking to the comments, fans and stars of the show alike gushed over seeing Jenny again, and wished her well. Izzi Warner, who appears on the Channel 4 programme alongside her sister, Ellie, wrote: "Glad to see you're feeling better Jenny lots of love xxx"
Sending some hearts Jenny's way, Mica said: "Sending lots of love from Meesh & Marky"
Meanwhile, fans commented on how much they had missed seeing Jenny on their screens. Sez Louise wrote: "I'll be sure to show this to my 12 year old. She has really missed you both this last few weeks on Gogglebox."
Rebecca said: "Aww so pleased you are out of hospital Jenny. Sending you lots of love and best wishes on the rest of your recovery. Can't wait to have you back on our screens very soon xx"
Jenny and Lee first appeared on Gogglebox way back in 2014, and often leave viewers in stitches with their hilarious quips, petty squabbles, and side-eye glances. During lockdown, the best friends moved in with each other so that they could continue filming Gogglebox.
